The Blessing of the Animals: A Dog’s Day in Church

Here is a piece I shot at the massive Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine two weeks ago on St. Francis Day. That’s the day the church opens its doors to dogs and cats, guinea pigs and pot-bellied pigs, camels and llamas, lizards, snakes and one blue and gold macaw named Chuckles. A beautiful, fun and furry day.
