I spent a week in Mali, traveling to various communities — including Timbuktu — to look at how the NGO Trickle Up! is helping people living on less than $1 a day take their first steps out of poverty through a unique microenterprise development program. I shot and field produced this; Lisa Zeff put it together when I got back to the states.
